Java Technology Certification Pathway

Now Sun offers two learning paths that can lead to Sun Certified Programmer for the Java Platform.  Choose the path that is most appropriate for your skill set.

Development

1. Sun Certified Programmer for the Java Platform
2. Sun Certified Developer for the Java Platform
3. Sun Certified Architect for Java Technology

It is recommended that delegates have a minimum of 3-6 months post-training experience and preparation prior to taking the certification exams.  Delegates are not required to become a Sun Certified Programmer or Sun Certified Developer prior to becoming a Sun Certified Architect, although it is advised.
